Sillimanite is one of three Alumino-Silicate Polymorphs, the other two being Andalusite and Kyanite. A common variety of Sillimanite is known as Fibrolite, so named because the Mineral appears like a bunch of fibers twisted together when viewed under thin section or even by the naked eye. Both the fibrous and traditional forms of Sillimanite are common in Metamorphosed Sedimentary Rocks.

Uses and Applications:
Widely use all over the world for manufacture of Refractory Bricks, Iron Foundries, Spark Plugs, Glass, Chemicals.

Pyrophyllite is a Phyllosilicate Mineral species belonging to the Clay family i.e. a Secondary Mineral of composition Al₂O₃ , SiO₂, H₂O. In appearance and physical properties it is identical to Talc but in chemical composition, it differs. Pyrophyllite is a Hydrous Aluminum Silicate.
